kikpesan; rain

march 30th, 2020

and I love the way she comes in

and stays

deciding to take up all space almost immediately

grey skies follow guards up to protect

ceremony has begun

allow us to pause

deep breath

put ourselves at a halt

she needs to let out that firey head top

sorrows

and sorrows

fleeing from her scalp

she lets out a little bit of her teas

drip

drip

the trees dance as they greet

warriors following behind

following along

they come in

make a couple of stomps

yell

honour her song

stopping any sudden motion

attention is rearranged

nothing is more important

than to watch your loved ones grieving ceremonies

watch as she performs

watch as she hovers over every part of the story

then we watch

watch as she breaks

showing you what we truly do to this place

her tears flow harder

our guilts grow larger

she says how did you learn to forget your very own bed

but you seem to remember every other thing you try to protect

I sit and ponder

always this ensemble

she always makes me pause

enter these streets

streets of thoughts and bilites

travel until I wake then become reminded that no rest lives when your spirit is awake

her beautiful flashes lights up every step I try and speak

silence

is only wanted

so

I hear her full cries and screech

every darkened sky

turned more grey untied

like messy intertwined time

but I love the sounds she makes

hitting every little thing in this place

no one can run from her

even inside she lives in your taste

bolts framing her art work

In every glance

in any folk

this showcase

this performance

deserves

commoted devotion

who gets to see elegance like this

she is the master of motherly forms

the most ultimate bliss

every feminine energy

moves sways rocks to her beat

rap a tap tap

on these little heart beats

may we cry and cry

this entire spring

mourn to welcome the peace

sing to welcome the geese

water the medicines

as it’ll be her time to perform the next piece

patience

kikpesan

let it ran on our grieving heart strings
